Job summary

Biospringer in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Production Operator for the night shift to run spray drying and related processes. You will monitor equipment, ensure product quality, and perform sanitation tasks while following all safety and GMP guidelines.

This role reports to supervision and may involve cross-training across departments. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent experience, forklift certification, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 3 years minimum of experience in similar position.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work rotating night shift (6 PM–6 AM).
• Forklift certification is required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety rules.
• Perform sanitation on equipment and facilities.
• Monitor quality assurance controls during production.
• Operate packing line safely and efficiently.
• Inspect dryer infrastructure and report maintenance needs.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment and process problems.
• Notify supervisor of major equipment or process issues.
• Train and work in other departments as needed.
• Cover shifts and support operations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
