Job summary

Lesaffre's Biospringer team in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Production Supervisor - Nights to lead the Process and Drying operations on a 12-hour night shift (5 PM–5 AM). You will ensure product quality, enforce GMP and HACCP, and coordinate with the Production Manager to meet safety and production targets.

You will oversee operators, review control sheets, perform basic maintenance, and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Production Management or 2–3 years supervising in food processing.
• Basic math, chemistry and microbiology knowledge to assess situations and act decisively.
• Ability to supervise multiple people and prioritize duties to ensure quality production.
• Superior communication and customer-service skills with cross-functional teams.
• Forklift certification is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production in the plant on a 12-hour night shift (5 PM–5 AM) to ensure consistent, quality products.
• Enforce GMP, HACCP, safety programs and food safety policies; report issues to the supervisor.
• Directly supervise Process and Drying Operators; review control sheets and adjust processes as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance, startup/shutdown of spray dryers, and coordinate with maintenance.
• Utilize SAP and Excel for data entry and production reporting; maintain logs and inventory with Supply Chain.
