Job summary

Lesaffre Group in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Lead Dryer Operator to ensure efficient drying and packaging of food products on a 12-hour rotating shift from 6 PM to 6 AM.

You will train across departments, uphold safety and quality standards, and work closely with production supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 3 years of relevant experience.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and SOPs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety, GMP, and food safety rules.
• Perform sanitation on equipment and areas.
• Read MSDS for chemicals used for cleaning.
• Follow PPE procedures around chemicals.
• Monitor quality controls on Dryers and Packaging.
• Record batch documentation and maintain CIP records.
• Inspect lines and notify maintenance when service is needed.
• Train in multiple equipment areas to cover shifts.
• Assign work to team members based on production schedule.
