Job summary

Biospringer in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Production Supervisor for the night shift (5 PM–5 AM on a rotational schedule). You will oversee Process and Drying Operators, enforce GMP and food safety, and ensure the production of high-quality finished products.

The role reports to the Production Manager and requires strong leadership, data entry in SAP, and collaboration with maintenance and QA teams. Qualifications include a Bachelor's/Associate in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Production

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Production Management or 2–3 years as supervisor in food-processing.
• Basic math, chemistry, and microbiology knowledge to assess situations and take action.
• Knowledge of equipment sanitation and production sanitation.
• Ability to supervise multiple people and prioritize duties to ensure consistent quality.
• Forklift certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Process and Drying Operators to ensure procedures are followed and on schedule.
• Review control sheets and approve adjustments for Process and Drying.
• Maintain Supervisor logbook and communicate with shift supervisors.
• Enforce GMP, food safety, and company policies; document violations.
• Perform startup/shutdown of spray dryers and notify maintenance for issues.
• Enter data into SAP and other computer systems; use Excel for production reports.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with Supply Chain for daily needs.
