Job summary

Bio Springer North America Corporation (BSNAC) in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Lead Dryer Operator to manage drying and packaging and to ensure timely processing of food products. The role requires flexibility to train in other departments and to cover rotating 12-hour shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities include following safety and GMP protocols, maintaining quality checks, and handling CIP procedures. SAP duties and MAPCON work orders may be involved.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 3 years minimum of experience in similar position.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
• Perform safe sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, grounds, and other assigned areas.
• Read and understand material safety data sheets for chemicals used for cleaning or ingredients.
• Follow and direct all procedures on precautions of wearing PPE when working around chemicals or ingredients.
• Monitor quality assurance controls during production on Dryers & Packaging and verify weight and code dates.
• Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information for CIP procedures and batch paperwork.
• Inspect Dryer & Pack line infrastructure and notify maintenance when service is required.
• Assist in troubleshooting of Drying & Packaging equipment with maintenance and help with process problems.
