Wayne Farms LLC in Decatur, AL is seeking a Shipping Department Leader to oversee daily operations of the shipping area. You will direct personnel, optimize processes, ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, USDA/OSHA standards, and maintain customer satisfaction.

The role requires 4+ years in supply chain or shipping, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma is required; associates degree preferred.

Qualificações

• Minimum four (4) years in a supply chain or shipping environment; experience in perishable foods preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership including timekeeping, policy adherence, Top 25 behaviors, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
• Strong customer focus with exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate up and down the chain of command.
• Must have proficient computer and math skills.
• Self-starter with initiative and urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and maintain attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Manage department by establishing procedures and adjusting to meet shipping schedules and budgets.
• Oversee day-to-day activities for efficient transportation and storage of materials; ensure safe loading/unloading of product.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduction of repeat deficiencies.
• Mentor, coach and train employees; provide feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
• Administer performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions fairly.
• Follow safety initiatives and ensure PPE use; promote a zero-accident culture.
• Maintain organization of department, docks and storage facilities.
