Responsibilities

• Safely move trailers and containers between yard locations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers
• Report equipment issues or maintenance needs
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
• Detect and minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and transportation of materials

Qualifications

• Pass a background check, motor vehicle check, and drug and alcohol screening
• Understanding of DOT regulations
• No major chargeable accidents
• Valid Class A CDL
