Valmont Industries, Inc. in Brenham, TX is hiring a Fitter Welder 11 to assemble pole units by tack welding and welding out to code, with ultrasonic testing as needed. Starting pay is $28.72–$29.95 per hour on 4th shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM).

Qualifications

• Must read and write English.
• 3-5 years fitting in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Ability to read and use blueprints.
• Pass FCAW, GMAW, and SAW weld tests and certify.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate cranes.

Responsibilities

• Tack weld components to pole shafts using GMAW and SAW per drawings.
• Position shafts, use crane, and assemble to specs.
• Read drawings to locate parts and measure parts precisely.
• Operate grinders and drills to finish assemblies.
• Maintain clean, LEAN work area and follow safety rules.
