Job summary

Firelands Fabrication, a division of JHI Group in northern Ohio, is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for the second shift. The position involves welding and fabricating metal components, reading blueprints, and completing assemblies in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include GMAW, FCAW and SMAW welding, layout of steel parts, tack welding, grinding, and crane/rigger operation. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with welding experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven welding experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Welding certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with GMAW, FCAW and SMAW.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using GMAW, FCAW and SMAW.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and drawings.
• Cut, shape, and assemble metal components to create structures or products.
• Tack weld secondary parts to main steel member.
• Grind and wire wheel steel members.
• Operate overhead cranes and rigging as required.
