Qualifications

• Training and experience in GMAW/MIG and FCAW welding is required.

• Must be able to weld vertical, flat, or overhead.

Responsibilities

• Welds and assembles metal pieces using handheld welding equipment.
• Sets up parts for welding and uses hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures.
• Reads blueprints and weld symbols to prepare work.
• Monitors welding, burning and fitting to prevent warping or distortion.
• Operates overhead crane and forklift as needed.
• Maintains clean and organized work area and notifies supervisor of faulty equipment.
