Job summary

Gulf Island is seeking an Assembler to support fabrication and assembly of enclosure components. The role involves welding, basic mechanical assembly, and reading blueprints to meet dimensional and quality standards.

Responsibilities include setting up workstations, coordinating with teammates to maintain workflow, and following PPE and safety protocols in outdoor environments. Experience in MIG welding and reading tape measures is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years welding, fabrication or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing setting.
• 1+ years experience in structural fitting.
• Must be able to read blueprints and drawings.
• Basic proficiency with MIG welding and tape measure use.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding on enclosure components per drawings and procedures.
• Perform basic mechanical assembly, fit panels, install hardware, prep components for welding.
• Read and follow blueprints to determine weld and assembly requirements.
• Complete tasks for roofs, doors and sub-assemblies (RDS).
• Support material movement using overhead cranes or rigging (training provided).
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow.
