Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a warehouse associate in Effingham, IL to safely load/unload trucks, accurately pick paint and related product orders, and ship orders to customers. You will move material within the facility using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other equipment, and operate warehouse robots as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience operating mobile power equipment such as forklifts, tow motors or pallet handling equipment.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience operating stationary power equipment such as palletizers, conveyors, hoists or stackers, mills or farm/construction equipment.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience order picking and data entry/ barcode scanning.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience as a picker/packer in a warehouse or distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently pick orders.
• Process, package, and ship orders accurately.
• Organize stock and maintain inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Examine incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory items appropriately.
• Operate robots to facilitate effective warehouse operations.
• Coordinate site damage/re-pour area.
• Adhere to all company safety and quality expectations.
• Contribute ideas to improve or optimize warehousing procedures.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized daily.
