Job summary

Floor & Decor in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct warehouse operations across stores. You will supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators, and manage the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse settings, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Windows-based systems.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company.
• Effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations.
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines.
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel daily to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
• Oversee Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure warehouse safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures.
• Handle general employee inquiries and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
• Complete activity reports for management and monitor paperwork flow.
• Resolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports.
• Execute the Storage Buy Audit COP and ensure counting accuracy.
• Ensure products are staged for counting and inspection and stored properly to conserve space.
• Oversee inventory rotation within the warehouse.
• Perform other related duties as directed by management.
