Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct and oversee the warehouse operations at our Frederick, MD stores.

You will supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, and manage daily freight schedules to meet customer and inventory needs. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or DC setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)
• Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skills
• Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the company
• Effective communication skills (oral and written)
• Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations
• Strong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systems
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlines
• Available to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control
• Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning and cost-efficient operations
• Maintain warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs
• Ensure warehouse safety programs and OSHA compliance in the work area
• Train associates and enforce standard operating procedures
• Handle employee inquiries and implement progressive disciplinary steps as needed
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize warehouse throughput
• Prepare activity reports and resolve discrepancies in shipping, receiving, and inventory data
