Job summary

Shepherd Electric Supply is seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Manager to lead the Laurel warehouse after hours. You will own nightly operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and driver coordination, ensuring accuracy, safety, and on-time execution.

You will develop the Warehouse Lead, drive process improvements, and coordinate with day shift leadership to maintain smooth cross-shift handoffs. This role requires strong leadership and a focus on achieving high standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience.
• Night/PM shift experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; familiarity with warehouse systems.
• Forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck certification required or able to obtain.
• Familiarity with Laurel/Central Maryland delivery area preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Own nightly warehouse operations—shipping, receiving, inventory control, and truck logistics.
• Set and enforce accuracy and pace standards for the warehouse team each shift.
• Coach, counsel, and hold team members accountable with direct feedback.
• Maintain safety; ensure pre-shift equipment inspections and maintenance reporting.
• Develop Warehouse Lead as a successor and ensure cross-shift consistency.
• Ensure inbound freight is received correctly and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
