Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate at the Clayton Distribution Center in Clayton, OH. The role involves receiving, storing and shipping parts, operating equipment such as cherry pickers and reach trucks, and maintaining safety standards.

You will process orders with a handheld scanner and may train on various machinery as needed. The position offers second/third shift opportunities, with overtime potential and a comprehensive benefits package starting day one, along with 401(k)

Qualifications

• Safety Mindset and proper PPE usage are required.
• Minimum 12 months consecutive work history; experience with cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, and/or sit-down forklifts is preferred.
• Team-oriented mindset and reliability are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and work across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform material handling through receiving, storing, moving, packing and shipping of parts and materials.
• Operate handheld scanner to access/updateReceiving, counting and order processing information.
• Be open to training on cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes; not all roles use equipment.
• Report defects and identify repairs as needed.
• Use pneumatic/power tools to build wooden shipping containers and apply paint/rust preventative coatings.
• Carry out housekeeping duties and other tasks as assigned.
