Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate for the Clayton Distribution Center in Clayton, Ohio. You will move parts from distribution centers to customers, operate equipment such as reach trucks and cherry pickers, and assemble protective containers for shipping.

The role requires a safety mindset, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and reliable attendance. Overtime may be available; benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Safety PPE usage and procedures must be followed.
• At least twelve months of continuous employment history.
• Experience with cherry/order picker, reach truck and/or sit-down forklift preferred.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and overtime when required.
• Read/write/speak English to conduct business and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform material handling and warehousing processes for receipt, storage, and shipping of parts and supplies.
• Operate handheld scanner to access and update receiving, counting and order data.
• Be trained on and operate cherry/order picker, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and associated cranes as assigned.
• Report defects and need for repairs promptly.
• Use pneumatic and power tools to assemble wooden shipping containers.
• Apply paint and rust-preventative coatings as required.
• Maintain housekeeping and assist with other duties as needed.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and meet safety standards.
