Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Clayton Distribution Center in Clayton, OH. The role supports parts distribution from our centers directly to customers, including sorting parts and loading equipment with reach trucks and cherry pickers.
You will be responsible for material handling, using scanners, and training on various forklifts. The position offers a base wage with shift premiums and comprehensive benefits, with opportunities for overtime and career growth within the
Qualifications
- Safety mindset and PPE procedures are required.
- Experience: at least 12 months in a previous job.
- English reading, writing and business communication required.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform material handling and warehousing processes for receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping parts and supplies.
- Operate handheld scanner to access and update receiving and order data.
- Be willing to train on cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists; not all positions operate equipment.
- Report defects and repairs as needed.
- Build wooden shipping containers and apply paint/rust prevention.
- Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
