Job summary

The Caterpillar Miami Distribution Center is hiring a Warehouse Associate to support parts distribution, load and sort shipments, and operate equipment such as reach trucks and order pickers.

Candidates should be at least 18, able to read and write English, and willing to work overtime. The role offers a starting hourly rate of 19.10 with a 0.75 night-shift premium and benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write and conduct business in English.
• Willingness to be trained on and operate equipment as needed.
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 pounds and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform the material handling and warehousing processes for receiving, processing, storing, moving, packing, and shipping parts and materials.
• Operate handheld scanners to access and update information for receiving and order processing.
• Be trained to operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and overhead cranes/hoists as available.
• Report defects and need for repairs.
• Construct wooden shipping containers and prepare items for dispatch.
• Apply paint and rust preventative where required; perform housekeeping.
