Job summary

Frederick Health seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography on diverse patient populations. You will work with limited supervision, ensuring high-quality imaging and accurate data for radiologist interpretation.

The role requires ARDMS RDMS credentials or progression toward certification, JRCERT-approved education, and CPR. Expect a hands-on, night-shift schedule on an as-needed basis within the Radiology department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT approved program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Credentials from ARDMS as RDMS or within one year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of sonographic examinations (abdomen, OB, etc.) and record data for interpretation.
• Transmit images to PACS for interpretation and record keeping.
• Assist radiologist during ultrasound-guided biopsies and aspirations.
• Obtain optimal images to aid diagnosis.
• Operate and maintain sonographic equipment and keep workspace clean.
