Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
• Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by ARDMS or ARRT.
• State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonography in accordance with scope and standards of practice and UCHealth policies.
• Reviews patient history, physician's orders and scheduling; educates patient on procedures and equipment.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes; prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
