Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift at our Oakleys Ct site in Richmond, VA. The role offers $23.80/hour with a $2 shift differential and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Core hours are 10:00pm–6:30am, with benefits including health, vacation, and retirement plans.

You will build transformer sub-assemblies and assemblies using mechanical tools, gauges, and welding/brazing equipment, following SOPs and ensuring quality to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship now or in future.
• No relocation benefits; within 50 miles of site.
• Preferred welding/brazing/soldering certifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Operate heavy industrial equipment including cranes and weld/braze tools.
• Perform visual inspections before and after assembly.
• Use hand tools and fixtures to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• Ensure quality by inspecting finished assemblies and calibrating equipment.
• Adhere to EH&S rules and participate in process improvements.
