Eaton Corporation in Richmond, VA is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift to build transformer sub-assemblies and assemblies using mechanical or power tools. The role requires following SOPs, operating heavy industrial equipment, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus for eligible new hires, health benefits, vacation time, and opportunities for growth across departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered; candidates within 50 miles of the site will be considered; Active Duty Military Service members exempt from area limitation.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to build sub-assemblies and assemblies.
• Operate heavy industrial equipment, including cranes, winding machines, fabrication, welding and brazing equipment.
• Perform visual inspections of material before and after assembly.
• Use fixtures, gauges, hand tools and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and adjust to meet quality goals.
• Adhere to safety rules and contribute ideas for process improvements.
• Ensure machines and tools are calibrated and maintain 5S housekeeping.
