Eaton Corporation in Richmond, VA is seeking an Electrical Test Technician for a 3rd shift at Oakleys Ct. You will test and modify electrical equipment post-production and inspect functions before shipment. The role requires hands-on testing, documentation, and ensuring safety while using diverse test gear.

Core hours are 10:00pm–6:30am. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered for eligible hires along with benefits from day one, holidays, overtime, and educational support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years in electrical test or related field, preferably in manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relocation aid not provided; candidates in the immediate area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform system tests, including IR and dielectric testing, and complete reports.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems in complex systems.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC circuitry and PCB assemblies to component level.
• Assemble, set up programs and perform functional tests on circuit boards.
• Organize work by reviewing wiring diagrams, drawings, and specs.
• Test systems and electrical components; determine root causes and solutions.
• Use test equipment including digital meters, current meters, hi-pot testers, and infrared cameras.
• Maintain safe work environment by following standards and regulations.
