Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking a self-motivated Trailer Mechanic to join the maintenance team as a full-time employee. You will maintain vehicles and trailers in compliance with FA policies and safety standards while delivering high customer service.

Core duties include evaluating equipment status, performing repairs, managing tire work, and keeping maintenance records. A valid driver's license and willingness to work a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Prior experience with truck, trailer, and/or vehicle repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety conscious.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mechanical equipment and trailers for maintenance needs.
• Perform minor trailer repairs and tire work as needed.
• Conduct inspections to determine cost-effective maintenance options.
• Maintain tools and work area; enter repair data in maintenance software.
• Operate diagnostic instruments and a range of hand, electric, and air-driven tools.
• Support building and facility maintenance as required.
