Job summary

Forward Air Corporation is seeking a self-motivated Trailer Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This full-time role focuses on servicing trailers and related mechanical equipment in a fast-paced environment, with duties including diagnostics, minor repairs, and tire work.

The position requires a valid driver's license, strong mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include extended hours.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with truck, trailer, and/or vehicle repair.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule with extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate status of mechanical equipment, and trailers.
• Perform minor trailer repairs and tire work.
• Maintain equipment per DOT regulations.
• Operate diagnostic instruments and hand tools.
• Keep shop and tools clean and organized.
• Maintain attendance and teamwork with departments.
