Job summary

Divert is seeking an Assistant Technician at our Turlock, CA facility to support the food analysis and recovery process, including prep, cleaning, light maintenance, and operating equipment in the anaerobic digestion workflow to convert unsold food into renewable energy.

Reporting to Plant Supervisors, you will work nights (6pm–6:30am), follow safety protocols, and collaborate with team members to keep operations running smoothly. Divert offers benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environments preferred.
• 6–12 months maintenance or industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience operating pressure washers and forklifts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes tasks including inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material bins.
• Wear proper PPE for duties assigned.
• Operating other equipment as assigned (e.g., sweeper, power washers, HMI interfaces).
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and escalates concerns in real time.
• Assist with basic PM tasks and other operational activities as assigned.
• Participation in all shift handoff meetings, trainings and other meetings as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
