Job summary

Divert is seeking an Assistant Technician in Mount Sidney, VA to support the food analysis and recovery workflow. You will perform prep, cleaning, light maintenance, and related duties under the Lead Technician in our analytics and RNG facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma, willingness to work overtime, and basic computer skills. You’ll operate pallet jacks, help with PM tasks, and participate in shift handoffs and trainings as part of a safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6–12 months maintenance, industrial maintenance, or auto mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience operating pressure washers and hand pallet jacks preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills.
• Willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Executes on inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material bins.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and escalates concerns in real time.
• Operates hand pallet jacks and supports PM tasks as assigned.
• Participates in shift handoffs, trainings, and other meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
