Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC is hiring for a Systems (Panel) Operator on the 3rd shift at the Long Prairie facility. Start wage is $27.13 per hour, with a $1 per hour night shift differential and a $2 per hour weekend differential, plus regular pay increases.

Qualifications

• Experience in food/feed production is a plus.
• Ability to remain alert under sedentary conditions for extended periods.
• Understand and operate basic computer systems.
• Able to read and follow signage, warnings, and manuals.
• Forklift certification required; experience with backing up trailers or operating a skid steer and forklift preferred.
• Proficient in reading data trends and recording information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Observe processing equipment via computer monitors to meet product specs.
• Read gauges to ensure proper temperature, moisture and pressure.
• Manually adjust steam valves as needed.
• Complete paperwork every two hours for observations and products produced.
• Follow SOPs and quality standards; collect and test product samples.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures and escalate to maintenance when needed.
• Operate bobcats, forklifts, and yard trucks to manage raw materials.
• Communicate processing activities to production staff to prevent errors.
• Assist in cleaning production areas and equipment; maintain cleanliness.
• Report concerns, downtime, or cost-saving ideas to Foreman.
• Maintain safety policies and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain regular on-site attendance and flexibility for extra hours.
