Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC in Redwood Falls, MN, operates Performance Pet Products in Mitchell, SD, and is recruiting an Industrial Utilities Technician to maintain boilers, ammonia and wastewater systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to emergencies.

The position offers $27-33 per hour, night shift differential, and a benefits package with health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays and a strong 401K match. 1st shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:30pm; hours may vary.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with ammonia, wastewater, and/or boiler systems (required)
• Willing to obtain ammonia/boiler certifications within first year
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Awareness of food safety standards during maintenance
• Experience with skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and scissors lifts preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform preventive maintenance, testing, calibration, and repairs on boiler, ammonia, and wastewater systems
• Diagnose and repair pumps, valves, and piping systems
• Monitor operating conditions and record trends; adjust systems as needed
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance
• Respond to emergency calls and after-hours service on a rotating schedule
• Complete work orders documenting materials used and time spent
• Maintain safe and organized work environment
