Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC is seeking a Plant Maintenance professional for the Central Bi-Products facility in Redwood Falls, MN. The role covers second and third shifts, focusing on maintaining and repairing production equipment to minimize downtime.

The position offers a starting wage of $30.83 per hour with increases based on experience, plus night/weekend differentials and a comprehensive benefits package including 401K match.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing with a mechanical or electrical discipline; food/feed production a plus.
• Experience operating welding or metal fabrication equipment; pass a weld test.
• Experience operating a skid steer and forklift; pass in-house certification.
• Ability and interest in attaining boilers and/or wastewater licenses; preferred.
• Experience with plumbing or electrical work; a plus.
• Familiarity with safety procedures (confined spaces, lockout/tagout, hot work).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install production equipment throughout the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks weekly, monthly, and yearly.
• Repair grinders, pumps, motors, and gear boxes.
• Respond to emergency radio calls and repair with minimal downtime.
• Document materials used and time spent on maintenance projects.
• Assist with inventory counts and parts coordination.
