Job summary

Farmers Union Industries, LLC, Northland Choice facility in Waite Park, MN, seeks a Pet Food Lead on 3rd shift. Base pay is $27.13/hour with $1/hour night-shift and $2/hour weekend differentials, plus regular pay increases and a comprehensive benefits package.

The role focuses on production leadership, mentorship, safety, quality compliance, and meeting daily objectives. Strong English/Spanish communication and willingness to work varying hours are valued.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in feed/food manufacturing; leadership preferred.
• Advanced written and verbal communication; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to obtain a First Class B Boiler License.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving with time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and monitor the work activities of all assigned personnel to meet daily production objectives in a safe and timely manner.
• Monitor and evaluate incoming raw material to ensure product quality.
• Provide training to new/existing employees and ensure all facility equipment is operated correctly based on machine-specific SOPs.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate any accidents, threats, or downtime to leadership.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and being used according to SOPs.
• Assist in coordinating maintenance into the production schedule.
• Ensure all areas are safe, clean, and organized throughout shift to maintain safety and product quality.
• Perform any given job in assigned department, when necessary.
• Work safely, comply and enforce all company and regulatory safety/environmental policies, practices, and procedures.
