Job summary

Responsibilities

• Anticipates surgeon needs and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications before procedures.
• Maintains high standards and cost containment in the OR.
• Supports satisfaction activities and maintains relationships with staff and physicians.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects breaks in technique.
• Ensures safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervises and trains new personnel in the surgical environment.
• Promotes safe environment and responds to emergencies.
• Performs hand hygiene and follows infection control policies.
• Assists with room turnover and directs ancillary staff.
