Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Labor and Delivery team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This Full-Time Night position runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 pm–7:00 am, and focuses on maintaining a sterile environment and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
