Job summary

AdventHealth Altamonte Springs in Florida is seeking a Part Time Surgical Technician to support the operating room during night shifts. The role requires strong teamwork, strict aseptic technique, and the ability to anticipate surgeons' needs.

You will assemble instruments and supplies, ensure patient safety, maintain infection control practices, and contribute to efficient room turnover. A high school diploma and surgical technology training are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical/vocational schooling preferred.
• Successful completion of an approved Surgical Technology program.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and keeps the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
• Assembles all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Maintains aseptic technique and adheres to regulatory standards.
• Supports customer and employee satisfaction; maintains relations with physicians and staff; responds to complaints promptly.
• Monitors aseptic technique and takes action for any breaks in protocol.
• Promotes a safe environment and assists with orientation and training of new personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
