Job summary

Midwest Center for Youth and Families, a subsidiary of UHS, is seeking a Supervisor of Mental Health Technicians for the overnight shift (11pm–7:30am). The role supervises milieu staff in a DBT-focused residential program for youth aged 10–18, ensuring care quality and regulatory compliance.

The supervisor collaborates with Directors to maintain standards, coach staff, and support performance improvement while handling staffing, evaluations, and HR liaison duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4 years of work experience in a residential treatment facility or behavioral healthcare facility.
• Two years of supervision work experience required.
• Must be 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff deliver care in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
• Monitor and coach staff for implementation of policies and procedures.
• Ensure unit compliance with Joint Commission, state and other regulatory standards and patient rights.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and help formulate plans for improvement.
• Manage staff work schedules and compliance with policy.
• Complete staff evaluations and training within specified timeframes.
• Counsel and utilize disciplinary action as necessary in coordination with HR.
• Assist HR with interviewing candidates as needed.
• Continually evaluate staff activities, morale, and interpersonal relationships; promote healthy work-life balance.
• Assist in providing education or training for staff when gaps in clinical knowledge are identified; orientate new employees through onboarding and coaching.
• Must master implementation of DBT skills to crisis/behavior.
• Must be an expert of the first 40 pages of the DBT binder and expert knowledge of DBT skills.
• Ensure staff are providing appropriate skills coaching to patients.
• Oversees FTE management and milieu budgets.
