Job summary

Midwest Center for Youth and Families is seeking a Mental Health Technician for PRN/Per Diem coverage in Indiana. This 40-hour per week role offers Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday schedules with shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend hours.

We provide a licensed, 74-bed residential program for youth ages 10–18. You will assist with DBT-based activities, document patient behaviors, and support treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; higher degrees preferred.
• One year of behavioral health/psychiatric experience required; 10-18 yrs preferred.
• College students pursuing behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Implement elements of treatment plan and identified interventions to provide quality care.
• Document and communicate client behaviors.
• Follow clinical and unit programming.
• Assist with patient groups and activities.
• Provide DBT skills coaching with patients.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.
