Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Prior behavioral health/psychiatric work experience is required; one year of experience with patients aged 10–18 is preferred.
• College students pursuing a degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing, or human services are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
• Implement elements of treatment plan and identified interventions to provide quality care
• Document and communicate client behaviors
• Follow clinical and unit programming
• Assist with patient groups and activities
• Provide DBT skills coaching with patients
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques
