Ferrous Processing and Trading, a business of Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, has an immediate opportunity for a Night Shift Supervisor at our SLC Recycling Industries operation in Warren, MI. Responsibilities include planning daily production, assigning tasks, ensuring equipment readiness, and coordinating with other supervisors to meet schedules.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, prior supervisory experience, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.
• Collaborative attitude; ability to coach and mentor.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and schedules daily tasks and workloads to meet production goals.
• Ensures materials, equipment, and tools are available and in working order.
• Confers with plant personnel to plan and allocate materials.
• Handles equipment such as conveyors, cranes, tractors, and trucks.
• Inspects incoming materials and verifies invoices.
• Inspects machines and directs maintenance and repair work.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements.
• Interprets company policies and enforces safety regulations.
• Interprets job orders and assigns duties to workers.
• Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
• Maintains time and production records.
• Coordinates activities with other supervisors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
