Job summary

The Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. at Ishpeming, MI is seeking a Shift Manager Mine Maintenance to lead the mine maintenance team and oversee safe, reliable equipment operations at the Tilden Mine site. The role requires directing work, coordinating orders, and maintaining standards to drive high performance.

You will foster teamwork, communicate expectations, and ensure adherence to process standards while supporting continuous improvement and cost control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and rotate shifts.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Location: Ishpeming, MI

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Shift Manager Mine Maintenance at our Tilden Mine site.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction within the mine maintenance department to ensure all departmental work is performed in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all company site, federal, state and local standards.
• Direct, coordinate and motivate personnel to execute established plans and achieve performance targets for the department.
• Promote and encourage teamwork.
• Ensure clear communication to personnel of expectations and work assignments to achieve high performance standards.
• Follow the site Maintenance Process Standards.
• Maintain standard jobs, work orders, APLs, component tracing, cost information and inventory requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
• 3+ years of related heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Success working in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
• Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of mechanical background.
• Experience with Ellipse and MS Office Suite.
