Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited RN program with successful completion of at least one semester.
• BLS certification required; CA CNA certification preferred.
• Submit updated transcript to HR each term and notify Manager/HR of enrollment changes.
• Participation in an approved Work Study Program affiliated with the nursing school or Kaweah Health employment eligible for this partnership.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, perform duties as Student Nurse Aide (SNA) and support nursing staff.
• Answer patient call lights within two minutes and greet patients and families professionally.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety and infection control policies.
• Document all care provided in the EMR promptly after care is given.
• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge, and activities of daily living as assigned.
• Assist with specimen collection/transport and participate in crash cart checks and Code Blue responses.
