Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA, seeks a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join the team on the Transitional Care Unit. Under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, you will provide holistic patient and family care, support daily living activities, and help ensure safety and quality care.

Essential duties include responding to call lights within two minutes, assisting with meals and ADLs, maintaining confidentiality, and documenting care in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Current CA Certified Nursing Assistant certification
• HeartSaver AED
• Kaweah Health approved crisis intervention training within 60 days of hire/transfer

Responsibilities

• Reports any variance in the patient's condition to licensed staff.
• Responds to patient call lights within two minutes as assigned.
• Greets patients and families in a friendly professional manner and assists with needs.
• Assists Nursing staff in performing tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
• Provides for bathroom needs and assists with activities of daily living.
• Records intake/output, vital signs, weight, height as delegated by the RN.
• Assists with admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and neat patient environment.
• Documents all care provided in the EMR as soon after care occurs as possible.
