Job summary

Meijer stores are seeking an experienced leader to oversee daily operations, staff development, and sales performance in the Kentucky/Louisville area. You will mentor team members, manage staffing, and uphold Meijer standards to deliver exceptional customer service.

The role involves responsible for P&L, meeting sales targets, and fostering a safe, inclusive store environment. A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is required. Weekly pay and benefits are part of Meijer's rewards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience is required.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) and customer service experience are helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and analyze financial information for decisions.
• Commitment to safe work practices and mentoring across the team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff, select, and hire to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to drive customer service and sales.
• Direct strategies to improve customer service and store sales while meeting standards.
• Document disciplinary actions and advise on promotions or terminations.
• Manage P&L, sales goals, and shrink in the department.
• Ensure team is trained and follows safety and Meijer policies.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
