LabMinds Staffing & Recruiting, LLC seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT/MLS/MT) for a rural critical access facility. The role operates independently on the night shift from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., handling all overnight laboratory operations and urgent testing.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, generalist testing across core benches, QC and instrument maintenance, and timely communication of results and critical values to clinicians, while maintaining CMS/HIPAA compliance.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited MLT/CLS or MT/MLS training program.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Applied Science, or related discipline.
• Current certification as MLT/MLS/MT is required (ASCP or AMT).
• 1–3 months of related clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Solo overnight operations: manage all overnight lab services and emergency testing.
• Specimen collection and phlebotomy across all patient populations.
• Generalist testing across Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology, Microbiology, and Blood Gas.
• Instrumentation & QC: routine maintenance, QC procedures, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
• Review and report test results; communicate critical values to providers.
• Shift handover and inventory: communicate needs to incoming day shift.
• Compliance & Safety: adhere to CMS, HIPAA, OSHA, and state guidelines.

MLT/CLS or MT/MLS program
