Job summary

Required is a Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field and MLS certification within 18 months of hire. MT/MLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, chemistry, or related biological science field.
• MLS certification within 18 months of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by chemical analyses.
• Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells.
• Prepares blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions by testing group, type, and compatibility.
• Processes, reads, and reports cultures and antibiotic sensitivities.
• Maintains operation of laboratory equipment by calibrating and performing preventive maintenance.
