Job summary

Advocate Health's Lexington Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) for a full-time night shift scheduled Tuesday through Friday, 9pm–7am, in the Laboratory department.

Associate degree preferred; MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required. NAACLS-approved program preferred. You will ensure accurate test results, adhere to QC/QA procedures, and maintain patient safety, with emphasis on teamwork and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher is preferred.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification is required.
• NAACLS-approved Medical Technician program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and promotes teamwork.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient test results.
• Performs procedures per the manual with minimal supervision and within turnaround times.
• Maintains QC/QA procedures and documents results in the LIS.
• Ensures safety and proper patient identification and labeling.
