Job summary

Mercy seeks a Laboratory MLS/MT to perform and interpret analyses on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques, providing timely information to the medical staff to aid in diagnosis. The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience (3 years max acceptable), and current MT/MLS certification or eligibility for certification.

Shift is Monday–Thursday nights (8:00pm–6:30am), with Mercy Service Standards guiding daily work.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of experience.
• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: Up to 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience as a certified MLS/MT or equivalent or certification eligible new MLS graduate.
• Certifications: Current certification as MT/MLS or categorical certification, through ASCP or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets analysis on patient specimens through the use of complex laboratory techniques.
• Provides medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis.
• Follows Mercy Service Standards and contributes to a collaborative team environment.
