Job summary
GlobalFoundries inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Malta site Fab 8, a 300mm leading edge semiconductor manufacturing facility.
You will monitor, sustain and improve equipment and processes in the assigned area, collaborating with production teams and area engineers to ensure manufacturing readiness. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in semiconductor tool maintenance and strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical and PC/software domains, with a focus on comprehensive
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-year technical/associates degree in science, math, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing or related discipline or equivalent military training/experience.
- 4+ years direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing or tool/equipment/facilities maintenance; or 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, sustain and improve equipment and processes in assigned area.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets.
- Troubleshoot equipment using mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills.
- Communicate status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer and team.
- Follow operating procedures and safety policies in a cleanroom environment.
