Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a candidate for the Failure Analysis Laboratory at the Malta, New York 300mm fab. The role covers a 12-hour night shift (D shift) with a 12.5% shift differential, working Wed–Fri and alternating Saturdays.

The candidate will perform analytical work, sample preparation (TEM/SEM), and report results using standard software. A technical associate degree with 2–3 years of related experience is required, along with strong attention to detail and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English language, both written and verbal.
• Able to perform shift work on a 12-hour night shift schedule.
• Follow work and safety procedures for the laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine analytical jobs using defined procedures meeting quality standards.
• Interact with lab engineers and managers to define analytical methods.
• Perform sample preparation techniques such as TEM/SEM to enable analyses.
