Job summary

GlobalFoundries U.S. INC. in Malta, NY is seeking a Failure Analysis Technician to support analytical work in the 300mm fab.

The role involves semiconductor failure analysis using sample preparation, imaging, and analytical techniques with a night shift 7 PM–7 AM on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and alternating Saturdays, plus a 12.5% shift differential. Qualifications include a 2-year technical/associate degree in science or engineering, fluency in English, and the ability to follow procedures

Qualifications

• 2-year technical/associate’s degree in science, math, engineering or related discipline.
• Fluency in English; written and verbal.
• Ability to work a 12‑hour night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical jobs using defined procedures and meet quality targets.
• Collaborate with lab engineers to define analytical methods and interpret results.
• Conduct sample preparation (e.g., TEM/SEM) to enable analyses.
• Maintain and report results using standard software for job management.
